Sally and Dave loved hiking, skiing, swimming, and other outdoor activities. On various expeditions they would either be joined by other couples or male friends who had left their wives behind. This was what happened on a canoe trip last year.
After careful research, they decided to go to White Fawn River that ran through a particularly scenic valley in Colorado. They planned to pull out their canoes, explore the canyons and spend the night. The trip was planned for mid-July, when the weather and water would still be warm.
